MCOSH’s mission and work has remained the same for 30 years, since our inception as an integral part of the Tompkins-Cortland Labor Coalition in 1989, and then under the framework of the Midstate Education and Service Foundation (a non-profit 501c3 organization) beginning in 2003. We remain committed to the principle that workplace injury, illness and death are preventable, and through training, education, advocacy and labor-community organizing we work to extend and defend every person’s right to a safe and healthy workplace. We are a proud affiliate of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH).
